The presentation and the contacts of the Ukrainian and French businessmen took place within the framework of the business forum “France – Ukraine: Perspectives of the Investment Partnership” that was held in Paris, 1-2 December 2011. The forum was arranged and held due to the project of supporting the Ukrainian innovation business “The Club of Reforming” The event was held with the initiative of Serhiy Tihipko – Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, in cooperation with the Association of Enterprises of France – MEDEF.

S. Tihipko said: “I am satisfied with the representation level of the French companies at the business forum, as it is the first time that the French entrepreneurs displayed such keen interest in mutual cooperation. I am sure that the forum will kick-start the development of our cooperation”. It is worth mentioning that the current forum was held on the eve of the sixth meeting of the Joint Ukrainian-French intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation.

Representatives of almost 70 French and Ukrainian companies took part in it and discussed the vital issues of doing business in Ukraine, as well as the possibilities of implementing new investment projects in Ukraine. The organizers expressed their confidence that such events will be also held in other countries since the previous meetings with foreign businessmen proved to be successful.
